No, this is not about milk.  Nor milk and cookies.  Or cows, even.  Matter of fact, it is unrelated to any thing dairy, or cows.

It is the quest for a 11 year-old game called Master of Orion 2.  Arguably the best sci-fi colonization, diplomacy, expansion, warfare game of all time.  It's turn-based strategy kept me occupied for days at a time on a single scenario, where every decision can make or break your empire.  Nothing that is currently out even touches this game's customizing options, nor in-depth combat strategy and research systems.  The diplomacy aspect is a bit lacking, especially if you want to use espionage a lot (as I do).  I'd prefer to frame other species for my shadow crimes than have the game randomly assign blame.

Aside from its mild failings, the game is amazing.  And I found a copy for my Apple computer for 11 bucks.  Can't beat that, really.

So, whenever the bank sends my replacement card... whee!

SATURDAY.  Slept in til 11:30.  Ate lunch with some of extraspecialk's friends.  Hung out and played games.  K and I sneaked out of the house and over to Beard Papa for a cream-puff assortment.  I definitely recommend the Vanilla ones.  After that, we swung by Starbucks before closing, and saw a cute barista there who was a bit loopy after working all day, and was drawing pictures all over our cups.  Teh cute innocence.  The kind of cute innocence you want to tie up and yeah... anyway.  Capped the evening with more doing not much at all, and warm bedtime sleepiness.

SUNDAY.  More sleeping in.  A jaunt over to the Century City Mall for some air-tight containers for various baking ingredients (yay, Container Store), some foodages at the court de foodz, and then a stop off at the Gamestop to snag a copy of Half Life 2, and we were on our way to Trader Joe's.  Snag the necessary components for BBQ chicken sandwiches, and headed home.  K watched a movie for school, and I got engrossed in Half Life.  Cooked up my chicken with BBQ sauce, and sliced it up for lunches this week.  Climbed into bed after adding another fluffy cover to the top.  /snore

So, I figure that most of my chat logs, most of the quotes I choose to place at the end of emails or the like, and pretty much nearly every political conversation I have ever had would be considered the application of "force" as described by the current regime.

I have been busy this morning.  I just sent a message voicing my concern over this bill to every Senate Homeland Security Committee member.  So, if you don't hear from me in a few days... well.  I am not going to live in this Country and fear reprisal.  These idiots think they are doing us a favor, but they have no idea what torment they will unleash if this kind of legislation is passed.

Time to start the aggressive letter writing, before we can be thrown in jail for it.

"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law’, because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." - Thomas Jefferson
